Our history

Saranac Synagogue is more than a place of worship—it is part of the story of Jewish Buffalo.
Our historic building dates to 1918 and has served as a synagogue since 1931. Since 1955, the property has belonged to Yeshiva Achei Tmimim Lubavitch of Buffalo.
Visitors are welcome to explore the synagogue and learn about its history and the broader story of Jewish life in Buffalo.
